We feel the issuing of the permit is right around the corner.

Bids have been received and as soon as DEC issues the permit they will be awarded. 

We are still looking at easements from a few residents. If you have not signed an easement please stop down at the Town hall and we will take care of it.

 

 

What is ahead for West Monroe?

With the new street lights we have seen a reduction in our monthly utility bill, also a new lamp was add at State Route 49 and Whig Hill to better illuminate that busy intersection.

Zoning law has been passed! We are now officially in the 21st century with zones. Please review the map on the web page to see where you fall.

Sewer project is nearing permit award, Hastings WWTP has started their upgrade - bids have been recieved but not awarded.

Still searching for funding to install sewers along route 49 -

Constantia has some good news in a new Nice-N- Easy which is open for business.

Emerald Ash Borer

The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets recently revised their quarantine regulations for Emerald Ash Borer by creating a single Restricted Zone en-compassing the current EAB infestations. This Restricted Zone replaces the eight smaller Restricted Zones that spanned the state east to west.

The new zone encompasses the following Tug Hill towns:

h Oneida County: Annsville, Floyd, Lee, Trenton, Vienna

h Oswego County: Constantia, West Monroe
